19 October 1999New appointments at Kiln
The Board of Kiln PLC and R.J. Kiln & Co have announced the appointment of Edward Creasy, currently Managing Director of Cassidy Davis, as Managing Director of R.J. Kiln & Co Ltd, with effect from 3rd January 2000.

Jeff Kilpatrick, the current Managing Director, will relinquish the post concurrent with the arrival of Edward Creasy. He will remain Financial Director until his proposed retirement from the Kiln PLC Board at the Company's next Annual General Meeting in June 2000. It is anticipated that Edward Creasy will join the board of Kiln PLC at that time.

Roy Butler, who is a chartered accountant and Capital Liaison Director, will take over as Financial Director of Kiln PLC on Jeff Kilpatrick's retirement. Roy Butler has been employed by Kiln for the last 18 years.
16 September 1999Risk Assessment Filters - Syndicate 557
For the 2000 Account, Syndicate 557 will attract a capital loading of 10% to the derived RBC figure as a result of the PSC Risk Assessment Filter exercise.

Stephen Jedburgh has been appointed Active Aviation Underwriter following the retirement of Peter Morris.

Steve Tidd has been appointed to the Board of R.J. Kiln & Co. Ltd. and will act as George Higginson's Deputy on the Motor account.

Mike Bottle has been appointed to the Board of Link Insurance Services, the subsidiary of the Kiln Managing Agency, specialising in the U.K. retail insurance market.
07 January 1999New Medical Expenses Binding Authority for Kiln Syndicate 807
Syndicate 807 has granted a binding authority to a new Indianapolis based company MultiNational Underwriters Inc (MNU) for individual and group medical and expenses policies. MNU's principals have dealt with the syndicate for many years, and Kiln regard this initiative as a natural progression. As part of the arrangement Kiln has purchased 24.6% of MNU's equity. If, as is intended, life business is written to the Kiln life syndicate 308, members of 308 will share in any gains accruing to the Kiln shareholding.
