Amlin have announced that Richard Golder is to succeed Ken Boden as cargo Underwriter of Syndicate 902.

Lloyd's have granted an extension of the deadline for submission of documents to capital providers from 31st May to 30th June, 1999. This deadline also applies to notice to terminate standard Managing Agent's Agreements.

Amlin and Angerstein have applied to Lloyd's for consent to merge Syndicates 902, 1141 and 2001 for year 2000. They have also applied for consent to terminate the standard Managing Agent's Agreements with underwriting members of the respective Syndicates. Providing Lloyd's give permission, documentation, including voting papers, will be sent to members and Members' Agents before 30th May, 1999 to make an assessment of the proposed merger.
18 March 1999New Hull Underwriter for Angerstein Syndicate 902
On 11th January 1999 Simon Cooper joined Syndicate 902 to write a Hull Account, previously he was Hull Underwriter for Syndicate 590 with Cox Managing Agency and will be transferring his account to Syndicate 902. This appointment follows on from the retirement of Roger Tate in November 1998. The account is primarily a Brown Water Account, with the emphasis on fishing vessels, 50% of which comes from South America. Simon Cooper leads 90% of the business written.
